Temporary Procurement Specialist

Position Summary 

We are currently looking for a Temporary Procurement Specialist based in Panama, who will work closely with the Procurement Managers in managing the commercial and sourcing activity for Energy used by the company worldwide.

Reporting directly to the Global Category Lead, the successful candidate will support the definition and the implementation for the category strategy on a global level and strongly contribute on delivering the zone’s sustainability objectives.

A day in a life of a Procurement Specialist:

·        Support Procurement Managers in tactical/operational activities (contract creation, price requests, cost model development & implementation, project follow-up) and in Business Partnering with markets.

·        Actively participate in regional tenders for the Energy & Utilities Category.

·        Support the Regional Procurement Managers in organizing and defining the negotiation strategy with global suppliers.

·        Develop effective communication skills by maintaining both internal and external stakeholders informed of the progress related to the different tenders.

·        Support in automatizing of procurement tools in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

·        Ensure compliance to Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.

What will make you successful

·        University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain and/or Engineering

·        1-3 years’ experience in any Procurement operational role, exposure to Energy industry is a strong asset

·        Ability to work in an international and complex environment

·        At ease with different IT systems (SAP Ariba, Excel, Power Point)

·        Understand business objectives and ensure alignment with procurement functions of support

·        Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills

·        Being highly structured and well organized

·        Fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese will be an asset
