Technical Consultant – Reservoir

Important company in the oil industry is searching for a Technical Consultant, to represent the company by direct interaction with customers as well as internal operational and commercial staff to ensure that each project scope is accomplished to meet customer reservoir flow measurement needs.

As a Technical Consultant you will form an integral part of our reservoir tracer technologies team providing data interpretation related to reservoir fluid flow. This critical information, alongside other data, enables customers to optimize oil and gas extraction and minimize water and energy consumption.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

∙the development of expertise in all areas of reservoir chemical tracer applications 

including project design, execution and data analysis 

∙provide full lifecycle technical support to customers, sales, and operations departments 

by assisting in the design and implementation of chemical tracer projects for variety of 

applications within the upstream O&G industry 

∙regular communication with commercial and operational staff providing technical 

support in understanding project requirements and defining each scope of work 

∙data interpretation and regular data reporting to customers as well as virtual and face 

to face meetings 

∙strong relationship building with customers through continuous communication from 

project concept through to final data reporting 

∙writing technical papers in collaboration with customers and presenting at conferences 

and specific technology forums supported by the marketing department to ensure 

world class literature and publicity materials are available to global customers 

∙feedback to the reservoir research and development team, ensuring that continuous 

improvement and technology innovation remains at the forefront of everything we do 

KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE 

∙Technology / engineering background  

∙Strong interpersonal skills with customer first mindset 

∙Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Power Query and Power-Bi 

preferred 

∙Exposure to secondary recovery, horizontal drilling and unconventional completions 

operations preferred  

∙Have knowledge of the fundamentals of petroleum engineering principles and / 

reservoir engineering preferred 

∙Experience performing data queries and pulling data for analysis is preferred 

∙Ability to communicate effectively with field service personnel, client representatives, 

and internal management
