
Regional Private Label Category Manager – Retail

Position Objective
Lead at a regional level the design, development, and positioning of the company’s private label portfolio, ensuring sustainable profitability, competitive differentiation, superior perceived quality, and strategic contribution to business growth and margin, through comprehensive category management, international suppliers, and disciplined execution of launches across multiple markets.
Requirements
- Industrial Engineering, Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
- Preferred: Postgraduate degree or MBA in Commercial Management, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or related areas.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Category Management (CATMAN), strategic sourcing, or commercial management roles in retail companies (mandatory).
- Advanced / bilingual English (mandatory).
- Solid experience in:
- Development and management of private label brands.
- Negotiations with suppliers in China.
- Attendance at international trade fairs and trend scouting.
- Management of international commercial relationships.
- Experience in new product development, including:
- Branding, packaging, claims, and naming.
- Technical product analysis.
- Quality management, certifications, and technical testing.
- Knowledge and experience in:
- Cost evaluation (FOB, MOQs, logistics structure).
- Optimization of regional portfolio profitability.
- Regional alignment and generation of purchasing synergies across countries.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel.
- Intermediate Power BI (advanced preferred).
- Data analysis tools (preferred).
- Knowledge of import processes and international supply chain.
- Management and tracking of commercial and profitability KPIs at local and regional levels.

Main Responsibilities:
Category and Portfolio Management
- Manage the regional private label portfolio, ensuring strategic consistency, growth, and profitability across different markets.
- Define and execute product development plans by category and country.
- Prioritize initiatives considering commercial objectives, margin goals, and regional specificities.
Product Development
- Lead the development of new private label products for multiple markets from China and other sourcing origins.
- Ensure product proposals meet regulatory, commercial, and consumer requirements in each country.
- Coordinate packaging development and validation with a regional approach.
International Supplier Management
- Consolidate regional negotiations with strategic suppliers to generate efficiencies and synergies.
- Negotiate costs, commercial terms, and production lead times with a regional focus.
- Ensure compliance with delivery schedules for regional launches.
Launch Execution
- Coordinate regional launches, ensuring alignment across countries.
- Ensure product availability on time and in full according to the regional plan.
- Coordinate with local and regional teams.
Analysis and KPIs
- Monitor regional performance of sales, margins, and profitability.
- Analyze results by country and category to optimize the regional portfolio.
Visibility and Internal Coordination
- Drive the regional private label strategy within the organization.
- Coordinate with commercial, marketing, operations, and supply chain teams at the regional level.
- Represent the company at international trade fairs.
Additional Information:
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. or from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Location: La Libertad, with availability for regional travel and store visits.
