Chief Branding Officer

We are hiring a Chief Branding Officer to lead our company’s brand strategy and ensure it is delivered through effective marketing strategies, image, experiences and talent/customer/client engagement. You will oversee marketing, advertising, design, and public relations, in order to cultivate a coherent brand story and its corresponding visual identity. You will act as a key unifying force between the Commercial, Talent Acquisition and Communication marketing teams, to achieve our growth targets and increase revenue. You’ll work alongside our Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of growth strategies across different areas of the business (Commercial, Talent Acquisition, and Communication), including content creation, SEO optimization, paid advertising, email marketing, and conversion rate optimization. You will also be responsible for identifying new growth opportunities, as well as optimizing the existing processes to ensure they are cost-effective and scalable.

To be successful in this role, you must have in-depth knowledge of business operations and the marketing industry, and analytical mindset and the ability to think outside the box, as well superb leadership and management skills. You must also stay up to date with industry trends and perform regular, thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify best practices and apply them to our brand’s marketing initiatives.

In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of marketing and inside sales professionals, while reporting directly to our Chief Executive Officer. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in marketing, at least five years in a managerial position, and outstanding time management and communication skills.


YOU WILL GET THE CHANCE TO:

Lead our Marketing strategies for our focus areas:

Commercial (Demand): Responsible for bringing high quality leads into the sales pipeline, using a comprehensive, effective, and robust marketing strategy.

• Brand awareness and positioning. • Lead generation.

• Lead funnel management.

Talent Acquisition (Supply): Responsible for creating a desirable brand to work at, distributing a compelling message to potential developers, that Applaudo is their best next step in their careers.

• Brand awareness and positioning. • Lead generation.

• Candidate funnel management.

• Candidate applications.

Communication: Responsible for leading our internal and external communication strategy and its respective execution, while amplifying Applaudo’s culture and core values from within to outside our organization.

• Internal communication.

• Public relations and crisis management. • Sponsorships and alliances.

• Events participations.

Branding: Responsible for maintaining one unique and robust identity across all our touchpoints, internally and externally, and for ensuring the organization has a coherent and consistent branding strategy while recognizing and addressing the needs of specific business units and understanding the audiences of those business units.

• Brand voice. • Brand visuals.


Oversee the execution of the Commercial, Talent Acquisition, Communication, and Branding strategies to drive customer/client/talent acquisition, engagement and retention, as well as increase our market share and reach our growth targets.

Work with Marketing, Sales, and Talent Acquisition to optimize existing and establish new, cost-effective processes to achieve and exceed our revenue goals.

Lead Marketing VPs that are focused on leading marketing specialists that conduct content, social media, SEO, affiliate, PPC, and omnichannel marketing.

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Analyze business performance and create monthly/quarterly reviews.

Continuously optimize the effectiveness of existing marketing channels such as emails, social media, website, etc. based on data-driven insights.

Maintain relationships with decision-makers across our target customer/client base.

Conduct thorough analysis on marketing ROI and successfully develop cost effective solutions.

Build and manage a successful team while fostering a culture that aligns with and promotes company values.


WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED?

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in Marketing in the B2B space for a technology services company.

• 5+ years of experience in a managerial role.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills.

• Demonstrated expertise in PPC, SEO, social media, display advertising, etc.

• Demonstrated expertise in omnichannel outbound marketing/lead generation.

• In-depth understanding of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Matomo, Fathom Analytics, etc.)

• Knowledge of campaign management tools (Active Campaign, HubSpot, MailChimp, Salesforce, etc.)

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments and create best-in-class content.

• Proven leaderships expertise with effective team-building skills and conflict resolution management.

• Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency.

• Professional presence and ability to develop strong working relationships with executive management.


Highly Desirable:

Experience in the software development services/SaaS industry is preferred

Strong Technical experience with HubSpot and other marketing automation tools

MBA o equivalent advanced degree
