Platform Architect/ Software Architect

Essential requirements for the position:

3-5 years of experience

Fluent English proficiency (B2 level or higher) is important

The most essential technologies are: Google Cloud GCP, AWS, Azure, Javascript, React and Node.js, and Kubernetes.

Description and Requirements

• As the Platform Architect for a leading digital company, you will lead the development of our Developer Experience tooling, enabling hundreds of developers to build great experiences for our customers and teammates.
• You will collaborate with internal and external delivery teams to guarantee that our systems are accurately designed, while working side by side with leadership and industry practitioners to spread leaner digital approaches to architecture within the wider organization.
• You will build and support a highly engaged platform team, bringing opinionated expertise on contemporary and future best practices to our organization. You enjoy solving complex problems so that other developers don’t have to. We use a range of technologies to get the job done: JavaScript and Babel (ES2018) coupled with Webpack, React, Redux and other libraries to provide a modern, easy to use Javascript toolchain. A central Design System is used for styling and hosts shared components, while our RESTful and graphQL APIs are built with Node.js powering our custom services. Quality is a primary concern, we test our applications at multiple levels with Automation Testers, and Product Owners embedded within teams.

• Design and create next-generation platform tools for APIs, UI experiences and beyond Identify gaps in tooling & platform quality and call out issues effectively
• Work with management to scope and plan engineering efforts and dependencies Collaborate across the organization to bring digital solutions
• Surface resources and opportunities for people development
• Support effective code reviews
• Getting up to speed on current technology and introducing new technologies to bring back and share with the team
• Accountable for the technical representation in business decisions
• Accountable to define, review and advocate for the best testing practices, standards, and technologies within the platform team
• You're the missing piece of the puzzle
• Strong technical background in Node.js & React
• Validated experience in Functional programming
• Experience using and driving Continuous Integration/Delivery practices, tools and technologies You are recognized as a domain expert who is equally comfortable talking financial projections or business process modeling as you are advocating for Agile methodologies You fully understand the role of advocacy in the adoption of technology
• A product-driven approach to tooling development
• Strong partner management and interaction at different levels - understanding the needs of junior developers and seasoned architects, and how we can address each of their needs.
