Global Manufacturing Director

Role Overview: 

This role will collaborate with different departments around the world, monitoring design, production, quality, and delivery outputs for one of the company’s main products. They will oversee all front-end design processes to meet daily production goals and comply with standard operating procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

·        Oversee a global team of designers, operators and their leadership teams on their daily functions, as well as providing coaching, motivation and problem-solving strategies acting as the liaison between different stakeholders.

·        Monitor and distribute work according to customer and business needs

·        Maintain performance standards, quality (ISO, FDA regulations), delivery times and compliance throughout all the areas under his/her leadership.

·        Keep track of cases and customer issues, output, lead times and productivity for each designer, as well as their processes, schedules and workload.

·         Manage budget and manufacturing variances to support the financial goals and health of the operations under his/her leadership.

·        Participate in company LEAN initiatives and apply them on the daily basis of his/her teams and job.

Requirements: 

·        Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Operations or Engineering.

·        Advanced excel skills to perform modeling, trending, and analytics (i.e. vlookups, macros, advanced formulas, pivot-tables and charts)

·        5-10 years of experience managing operational teams in an FDA regulated manufacturing setting

·        Travel – Estimated overnight travel is 5%, includes international travel

·        Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Education – bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering; MBA is desirable.  

·        Experience – 3-5 years of experience in similar global leadership positions within manufacturing industries

·        Working knowledge of principles in lean enterprises.

·        Experience managing a team ofl manufacturing professionals

·        Experience managing remote teams/international teams.

·        Experience managing quality systems and processes.
