Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the general management of the finance department and its accounting cycle, making financial reports, proposing financial objectives and generating strong relationship between the Regional Finance Department and the operations of Caribbean Dominicana.

• Promote operational performance together with the general management and all Svitzer personnel.

• Develop estimates, forecasts / revisions, for the company's financial forecasting tool (RoFo)

• Promote profitable growth by providing results analysis and inform key metrics through advising the management team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions.

• Work with the Controller and Operations teams to adopt policies and procedures for the efficiency of the processes.

• Work with the regional finance team to define the right IT platform and the requirements to support the analysis, improve the visibility of the data and ensure control.

• Direct functional projects to promote simplification throughout the organization and improve rigor in key financial processes, reducing costs and improving profitability.

• Contribute to improve efficiency and performance, as well as to provide quality financial information.

• Manage relations between banks and government agencies, ensuring that the appropriate processes exist according to the group's policies (ie, payment approvals, segregation of duties, etc.).

• Attend regional finance with management reports and communicate the results to the country manager.

• Perform other ad hoc tasks as needed.
