
Business Developer – Global Grains & Pulses Trading

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Developer to lead the creation and growth of a new business unit focused on the global commercialization of grains, oils, and pulses.
This role will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building international trading channels, and establishing a strong supplier and client network across key global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the go-to-market strategy for the new global trading unit specializing in grains, oils, and pulses.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new international suppliers and buyers, building long-term commercial relationships.
- Conduct market analysis to detect trends, pricing dynamics, and emerging opportunities within the agricultural commodities sector.
- Negotiate commercial agreements ensuring competitive conditions, risk mitigation, and profitability.
- Manage the full commercial cycle, from prospecting and deal structuring to closing and post-sales follow-up.
- Collaborate with logistics, finance, and compliance teams to ensure efficient export processes and alignment with international trade regulations.
- Represent the company in international markets, trade fairs, and business missions to expand the commercial network.
- Track performance metrics, prepare commercial reports, and recommend actions for continuous improvement and business expansion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Agribusiness, Economics, or related fields.
- Proven experience in international business development, experience in agricultural commodities trading is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of global markets, export processes, and commercial logistics.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced English (additional languages are a plus).
- Strong analytical mindset, commercial drive, and ability to work independently in a startup-like business environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
