Accounting Supervisor

Location: Escalón, San Salvador

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (On-site)

About the Role

At SEE Talent, we are looking for an Accounting Supervisor to oversee and ensure the accurate execution of the full accounting cycle for an assigned client portfolio.

This role is key to guaranteeing that financial statements are prepared in compliance with IFRS (SMEs or Full) and local regulations in El Salvador, while ensuring all tax and municipal obligations are submitted accurately and on time.

Additionally, this position will supervise the accounting support team, manage communication with international clients, and drive continuous improvements in accounting and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance, support, and supervision to accounting assistants

Review accounting reports and financial statements

Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring high-quality deliverables

Prepare accounting records, journal entries, and supporting documentation

Prepare monthly tax filings and ensure compliance with fiscal obligations

Prepare monthly and annual financial statements

Process payroll and related reports

Handle accounting and financial requests from international clients

Ensure timely delivery of reports according to client requirements

Participate in meetings with clients, including international stakeholders

Ensure compliance with applicable financial and tax regulations

Monitor team performance, processes, and deliverables

Propose and implement improvements in accounting and reporting processes

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar accounting roles

Experience supervising teams

Experience managing accounting closings, financial reporting, and client requirements

Advanced English level (mandatory)

Strong knowledge of accounting, finance, and tax regulations

Active CPA license (Sello vigente)

IFRS for SMEs knowledge

Experience in accounting firms or service-based companies (it is a plus) 

Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, team work, Leadership, Client orientation, Professional ethics and integrity.

Technical Skills: ERP and accounting systems management, Microsoft Office proficiency, Advanced Excel, Financial statement preparation and review, Tax compliance and reporting
