
Service Proposal Engineer

Our client, a leading company in the Nutrition & Health (N&H) sector, is seeking a Service Proposal Engineer to strengthen their service proposal and commercial support team.
This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working at the intersection of commercial, technical, and operational function building robust, cost-effective service proposals while ensuring full compliance with internal processes and delivering high value to customers.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Commercial team to ensure customer requirements are understood and RFQs are thoroughly analyzed.
- Follow internal governance and proposal approval processes (QIA, LEAF, LOAF).
- Clearly and accurately define proposal scope based on customer and internal requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for equipment and services using internal tools.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather sub-quotations and cost inputs.
- Coordinate with subcontractors following Supply Chain Management procedures.
- Identify and share risks related to cost, scope, and KPIs during governance processes.
- Support the preparation of documentation required for LEAF/LOAF approval.
- Contribute to the development of final quotation packages and handover documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of proposals to internal and external stakeholders.
- Track all changes in cost, price, and scope across proposal revisions.
- Maintain a strong, trust-based relationship with the Commercial Organization.
- Initiate and participate in execution kick-off and handover meetings when required.
- Collect and integrate Lessons Learned from project close-out activities.
🎓 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of process categories within the Nutrition & Health industry.
- Experience with N&H maintenance activities and service proposal preparation.
- Strong financial awareness and understanding of cost structures and margin development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Strong teamwork and customer-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
- Fluent in English and Spanish
📚 Education & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Proposals, Process Engineering, Project Management, or similar roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and SAP.
Desirable:
- Detailed knowledge of the Nutrition & Health industry.
- Familiarity with related product ranges.
- Maintenance Operations training.
- Health, Safety & Environmental awareness.
