Full Stack Software Engineer (Ruby)

One of our partners is Braze. Braze is a marketing software suite that delivers customer experiences across email, mobile, SMS, and web. Customers, including Burger King, Delivery Hero, HBO Max, Mercari, and Venmo, use the Braze platform to facilitate real-time experiences between brands and consumers more authentically and humanly. And we do it at scale – each month, hundreds of billions of messages are sent to a network of over 3 billion active users through Braze.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our SMS/Chat team, which is currently working on launching a new chat messaging channel. You’ll be working closely with the rest of the team to launch the initial version of this new channel and iterate on it based on customer feedback.

WHO YOU ARE

6+ years of full-stack development experience

Strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms

A self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills

Professional experience with Ruby, Javascript, and React

Bonus:

Professional experience building distributed systems at scale

Professional experience with any of Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, TypeScript

Experience with agile processes

Assess communication skills

Assess how they would work with the current team

-2 hours of technical interviews with SMS engineers:

Debugging interview (1 hour)

System design interview (1 hour)
